Subsidium
The 15-Man Board proposed this year to create a Subsidium Team, an auxiliary to the school, to be committed to the continuation and ongoing success of the PID program. The name "Subsidium" is of Latin origin, meaning "third line of defense". After parents and teachers, no one does more for these hearing-impaired children than this dedicated group of volunteers.
Subsidium members, first and foremost, are dedicated to insuring the availability of quality auditory/oral educational resources for hearing-impaired children. Each member gives tirelessly of her time and talents to fulfill that commitment. Every year thereon, members of Subsidium undertake a major fundraising event to provide scholarship assistance to families who qualify.
Gerald Salonga – Filharmonica Outreach
An accomplished musician, Gerald Salonga, founded the Filharmonica, full orchestra ensembles and associations. In addition to his many endeavors, Gerald Salonga and his group plays for our deaf children whenever their schedules permit and teach/inspires them in our "Play By Ear" program.
